a little more about stephanie…

Stephanie has counseled people across the United States and globe. She started her career studying psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, working in the National Institute of Health designated “leading laboratory nationwide on research on child-adolescent emotion and mental health.” Additionally, she completed part of her undergraduate degree abroad at the University of Sydney in Australia, interning at the Centre for English Teaching where she provided counseling services to international students. Stephanie received her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver in Colorado, specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Stephanie was a graduate research assistant focusing on intimate partner relationships, vulnerability and emotional dysregulation, resiliency from trauma, social justice, and anti-racism education.

Stephanie has worked at various levels of care including outpatient, Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) programs, Emergency and Crisis Services, Medical Detoxification, and Inpatient Behavioral Health in the following cities: Denver, CO; Los Angeles, CA; New York, NY; and Chicago, IL. She has conducted workshops and presentations, published journal articles, and has collaborated on many clinical projects as a consultant. Stephanie volunteers with the American Red Cross supporting Services to the Armed Forces.
