telehealth

We offer telehealth to better serve you.

We recognize that many clients lead busy lives and are not always able to come into the office. Virtual visits provide you with the flexibility to see your therapist from the comfort of your own home, your desk, or even while on vacation without the commute.

We provide comprehensive care while utilizing Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant technology for our virtual therapy sessions.

We have conducted individual, couples and family therapy sessions through our advanced and confidential telehealth platforms.

Research shows virtual visits are equivalent to in-person sessions. Psychologists and researchers have studied various populations to determine whether telehealth works, who it best serves and how to deliver it most effectively. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, for example, has conducted numerous trials comparing PTSD interventions delivered in-person versus by videoconference, and found that the two methods are equally effective in the majority of cases. Systematic reviews have also found that telepsychology delivered by video and phone is effective for depression, anxiety and adjustment disorder, as well as for substance abuse and eating disorders in adolescents.

“What we’ve seen is that telehealth is essentially just as effective as face-to-face psychotherapy—and retention rates are higher.”

- David Mohr, PhD | Director of the Center for Behavioral Intervention Technologies at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine

We also acknowledge the ever-changing world that the COVID-19 pandemic drastically created. Many of our clients prefer to continue connecting with their therapist virtually to protect their health.

During virtual sessions, we encourage clients to pause, and remain distraction-free. Silencing notifications, not checking emails, and placing phones on Do Not Disturb allow undivided attention to the therapeutic work. These are the same expectations we have for in-person therapy sessions.

Blueprint Therapy and Wellness clinicians are licensed in the states of Illinois, New York, and California. Learn more about our locations here.

We have been able to expand access to our care by seeing clients residing outside city limits with the use of telehealth. Since Blueprint’s foundation, we have seen clients living in the suburbs of Chicago, New York City, and Los Angeles, and beyond.
